Miss England and Miss UK 2012 charmed by the beauty of Mauritius
The newly crowned Miss England 2012 Devon Charlotte Holmes and Miss UK 2012 Alize Lily Mounter,who were charmed by the beauty of the island and the friendliness of people, are determined to promote the destination once they return to the UK. The beauty queens travelled to Mauritius to star in the carnival held in the West coast resort of Flic en Flac, where we offer a fantastic selection of Mauritius Holiday Rentals.
Speaking at a press conference, the director of Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority (MTPA) Karl Mootoosamy stated:
“It will be the first time that we will be involved in a promotional campaign with Miss England for six months on different websites and TV channels.”
“It will also be a great opportunity to conquer the British market by showcasing fascinating images of different places, our people, the quality of our services, hospitality and cultural values,” he added.
He stated that this campaign is an effective means to communicate to people what Mauritius has to offer.
Miss England whose grandmother was a Mauritian is amazed by the island.
Holmes said: “My family has always told me how lovely this country is, but one needs to come here to see and experience it themselves. I had a really good time and hope to go back and persuade people to visit this destination,” said Holmes.
While, Mounter overwhelmed by the beauty of the island and added: ” We are amazed by your friendliness and professionalism.”
